Diamond Class Adventure Week

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a week of challenge and adventure.

Diamond Class had a week of excitement and adventure. They went to Edge Outdoors in Ware and enjoyed a whole range of adventurous activities that challenged them in so many ways. The ropes course and zip lines, including the very high-level route, tested their bravery and ability to cope with heights. Skills, accuracy and focus were the key for the archery and air rifle shooting. The Ninja-Warrior style obstacle course challenged their fitness and physical resilience and also brought out in some a desire to improve and beat their own time, and the mountain boarding gave them an experience of speed and perhaps a little bit of fear. The final activity, Zorb Strike, where the children strap themselves inside a giant ball and then roll all over the place and crash into each other, was just a great deal of fun. Later on in the week,  as well as a local walk, the children enjoyed an evening bar-b-cue and a night’s camping on the school field. They even set up their own tents. On the last day, they went canoeing and kayaking near Sawbridgeworth.  What an incredibly busy and exciting week.
