Sawbridgeworth Travel Challenge - Dr Joan Crawley Award nomination voting now open!
We wanted to update you with some good news about an award for the Sawbridgeworth Travel Challenge.
Nominations were recently submitted by the Active and Safer Travel Team for the Excellence in Hertfordshire Public Health Awards and included in these were the Sawbridgeworth Travel Challenge (Active and Safer Travel Team (The Sawbo Travel Challenge Group). We have been contacted by Public Health and have been told that the Sawbridgeworth nomination has won an award. They said they receive many nominations each year, so to win is a great achievement.
There are a total of six winners for these awards, these are then put forward for a public vote for the Dr Joan Crawley Award. The winner will be announced at the Annual Health and Wellbeing Board Conference on the 21st June.
The following link (https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/publichealthawards) will take you to the page that has further information about the award and the list of winners as well as a link to the vote. This will take under a minute to complete.
We are allowed to promote this page and encourage others to vote hopefully for the Sawbridgeworth Challenge, although please note that it is limited it to one vote per computer.
We should all be very proud of the work we have carried out over the last couple of years and It is a great accomplishment to receive this award and well deserved because as a group we have achieved a lot and have worked very hard together to promote active travel to school.
Well done Sawbo Travel Challenge Group!
